WINE TOURS
The Priorat & Montsant regions of Catalunya, are fast becoming world renowned for the richness and quality of their wines. For decades the local farmers had no idea of the quality of the vines they were growing and how perfect the soil of the region was for producing great wines. But more recently professional winemakers started to recognise the potential, and now both Priorat and Monstant wines are being exported all over the world, and enjoyed in many of the top restaurants.
We invite you to join us on a tour of a selection of the best of the 117 wine growers of this region. Each tour that we offer is unique from a former monastry where wine has been elaborated since the 16th century, to a local cooperative with an extraordinary story of success and determination to tell.
You will see each stage of the process from grapes hanging on the vine, through the process of fermentation, aging and finally bottling. And to really appreciate all you have seen you will be offered a selection of the wines to taste.We will transport you all day, so that you can relax and enjoy the whole experience, which will include lunch consisting of either a 3 course meal in a local restaurant or a picnic in a local beauty spot, depending on which tour you choose. Either way lunch wouldn´t be complete without a Priorat or Monsant wine being included!
